The FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 is gearing up to be an incredible event, with the official squads recently announced for the tournament in Uzbekistan. Starting from September 14 and running until October 6, this edition promises to showcase some of the world's most exceptional futsal talent. This year will feature 336 players from 24 teams for the first time since inception.
The 24 teams are Afghanistan, Angola, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, France, Guatemala, Iran, Kazakhstan, Libya, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain, Tajikistan, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Venezuela.

Record five-time world champions Brazil come into the tournament in high spirits having last won it in 2012.
The competition started in 1989 when Netherlands hosted the very first Futsal World Championship and Brazil won it and the next two editions in 1992 and 1996, becoming the first and only team to have won the futsal world title three times in a row. The reigning champions are Portugal who defeated 2016 champions to win their first title in Lithuania, 2021.
