Two greatest three-pointers faced off in this match contest. The very best 3-point shooter from NBA, Steph curry vs WNBA three-point shooter from WNBA, Sabrina Ionescu.
Steph curry having won the NBA three-point contest on two occasions, he also tops the chart of NBA three-point shooters chart with over (3,600) points scored.
Sabrina lonesco on the other hand, set the WNBA record for most three points in a single season (128). She then shocked the world by scoring 37 points out of a possible 40, to set a WNBA and NBA all - time record in a three-point contest.
Sabrina asked for a match up against her model whom she had watched as a teenager, Steph curry. Though she was to play from WNBA three-point line, she offered to instead play from the NBA 3-point line to make it fair. Currry shot with NBA sized balls while lonescu shot with WNBA sized balls.
Sabrina had the chance to shoot first and she scored 26points.
Curry wins first ever NBA WNBA 3-pointer challenge
Curry, after losing his first two shots, upped his game to win it for the night at 29points. Their joint points (55) meant and 55,000 dollars for the NBA foundation. In addition, both Curry and Lonescu, received donations from the NBA and WNBA from their respective charities.
NBA All Star Game
Lastly, the All-star weekend featured the all-star game where the Giannis led Eastern conference team faced up against the Lebron led Western conference team in Indianapolis.
The East triumphed over the west in a record 211-186 win.
Two stand out were Karl -Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee bucks.
Towns scored the highest points of the game (50) for the west while Lillard won the MVP trophy. The 25-year-old Milwaukee bucks guard scored 39 points including 11 three pointers. Damian Lillard shot twice successfully from half court.
One major set back for the west was that their captain, Lebron James was withdrawn after 14 minutes due to an ankle injury but the game was nothing short of exciting. The total of 397 points is the All-star game, broke the record of 374 set in 2017.

Team pacers emerge victorious:
Team Pacers
The Indiana pacers team of Myles Turner, Tyrese Haliburton and benedict Mathurin defeated Team Top picks (Victor Wenbanyama , Pablo Bachero, Anthony Edwards) and team All-stars (Trae young, Tyrese Maxey, Scottie Barnes) to win the skill challenge.
Team Jalen emerges as 2024 rising stars warrior.
Named after honorary coach Jalen rose, Team Jalen defeated Team Detlef 26-13 to win the 2024 rising stars winners. Four teams Team Jalen, Team Tamika, Team Pau and Team Detlef.
Team Tamika lost 35-40 against Team Jalen, While Team Detlef defeated Team Pau 41-36 to set-up a final showdown with Team Jalen. 39 Points shared between the two teams was enough to secure a 26-13 win for Team Jalen.
Mathurin of the Indiana pacers also won the MVP award in the rising stars contest.
