In the opening match of Group B at the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal AFCON in Rabat, Morocco, Egypt secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Libya at the Salle Prince Moulay Abdellah.
The match showcased Egypt's dominance, highlighted by goals from Mohamed Abdelrazek Koki (twice), Alaa Eissa, and Mohamed Mohamed Careca.
Despite an early attempt by Libya's Khaled Abdelhalim, as early as 60 seconds into the game, Egypt's offensive prowess persisted.
Libya's Mohamed Said had a promising opportunity to put the Mediterranean Knights of Libya ahead but Egypt's defensive resilience prevailed. Although Mohamed Mohamed went closest to beating the Libya's goalkeeper, it was Koki who eventually broke through with a goal just before halftime.
In the second half, Libya attempted a comeback but struggled to beat Egypt's goalkeeper. Mohamed Said Careca and Alaa Eissa further solidified Egypt's lead, securing an emphatic 4-0 win for the Pharaohs.
