Lindsey Harding, the coach of the Stockton Kings, made history by becoming the first woman to win the G League Coach of the Year award. She achieved this honor by guiding her team to the top record in the league. As a result, Harding will be presented with the Dennis Johnson Trophy, named in honor of the late Dennis Johnson, an NBA Hall of Famer who excelled as both a star guard in the NBA and a head coach in the G League.
Harding was selected through a voting process involving NBA G League head coaches and general managers. Tom Hankins, the coach of the Indiana Mad Ants, secured the second position, while Kasib Powell, coach of the Sioux Falls Skyforce, claimed the third spot in the voting for this award.
Additionally, Lindsey Harding, the Head Coach of the Stockton Kings, has been honored as the NBA G League Coach of the Month for March. Under her leadership, the Kings achieved a remarkable 10-2 record, placing them third in terms of performance for the month of March.
