What should we expect from JANNIK SINNER and ELENA RYBAKINA.
We bring to you two names causing a stir in the ATP and WTA. Having risen from unseeded to be among the top-five. We are talking about Italian wonder Jannik Sinner and Kazakhstani superstar Elena Rybakina.
First is Jannik Sinner. He has enjoyed a bright run in recent years, including this year. Having won his first major title after defeating Russia's Daniil Medvedev in the Australian Open final, he has also reached the Miami open semi-final.
22 years old, JANNIK SINNER is a professional tennis player from Italy. He has achieved notable success in his career, winning 12 ATP singles titles, including a Grand Slam championship at the 2024 Australian Open. Sinner has also reached the semifinals at Wimbledon, the quarterfinals at the French Open and US Open, was a finalist at the 2023 ATP Finals, and secured a Masters 1000 title at the 2023 Canadian Open. Additionally, he played a crucial role in Italy's victory at the 2023 Davis Cup. With a current career-high singles ranking of world No. 3 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Sinner holds the record as the highest-ranked Italian tennis player in history, regardless of gender, that is, including the male and female category.
Second is Elena Rybakina. A Kazakhstani who isn't backing down. Just this year, she has made some great advances in her promising career. She reached the Quarter-final of the Dubai Tennis Championship, the final of the Qatar open where she lost to World number 1 Iga Swatiek. She also went on to win the Abu Dhabi Championship where she defeated Diana Kasatkina. Currently, she plays at the semi-final of the Miami is currently ranked 4th According to the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) ranking.
At just age 24, She has earned seven career singles titles and was the runner-up in nine additional finals. Her most significant achievement came at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, where she clinched the women's singles trophy, marking her as the first Kazakhstani player to win a Grand Slam tournament.
As of today, Jannik Sinner and Elena Rybakina are both in the semi-final of the Miami Open in the men and Women's tennis categories respectively.
Sinner will face Daniil Medvedev who just defeated Nicholas Jarry in the early hours of today 6-2, 7-6 in a quarter-final game while Rybakina will face Victoria Azarenka.
