Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat battle it out in a five-final series match up where Denver Nuggets won 4-1 to secure its first ever NBA Championship. Below are the series match scores:

The Denver Nuggets led by two-time MVP, Nikola Jokic made it four wins out of five to secure their first NBA title. As a center, Jokic, a Serbian basketballer scored a game- high 28 points and 16 rebounds. The duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray formed a formidable duo, contributing a combined 42 points and 12 assists.
Jokic was voted MVP after his scintillating performance.
The top six teams in each conference automatically qualified for the playoffs and the teams that finished in seventh through tenth places advanced to the NBA's play in tournament to determine the final two playoffs teams in each conference. Before this season, Denver Nuggets had advanced to the conference finals four times in franchise history (1978, 1985, 2009 and 2020) where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers on each occasion. However, this time, they defeated the Lakers in the Western conference finals and won the NBA Championship.
